Crisis Intervention Services
All clergy of Goddess Moon Circles are
activists against domestic violence and rape and are advocates for youth at risk.
There is a nominal donation for counseling services, and
we are available 24/7. We act as
mediators between the victim and authorities and any family members that are a significant
factor in the healing process.
Women who come to us for help in breaking the
cycle of domestic violence are given the opportunity to rest and heal from
emotional and physical wounds inflicted on them by their significant other in a safe and
guarded environment. Victims are encouraged to talk, cry, scream if they want. Whatever it
takes to help them through this horrible ordeal. They are counseled on how to be self
sufficient, taught about their own rights and encouraged to relearn behaviors that will be
a positive force in their lives, as well as their children’s.
Our main focus for victims of rape is to be a
strong support system and to be the victim’s voice at a time when she feels she
doesn’t have one of her own. With this type of outreach, the victim has
someone to come pick her up, take her to the hospital, stay with her the entire time and
make sure all the proper reports are filled out. This is a horrific ordeal and so many
times it goes unreported! As a support person and clergy, We are there to console, attend,
and empower the victim, be strong for her when she feels she can't, and keep her safe.
Self defense classes and workshops aimed towards empowerment are open, at no charge for
any that wish to attend.
Youth\At Risk Outreach is open to any young
person that needs the help.
We are the firestarters. Our children
are going to follow in our footsteps. What those footsteps are is up to us. As Women,
Wives, Mothers, and Sisters, we have to do what we can to be sure our younger generations
are growing up safe and loved. As clergy, we are obligated to perform our duties and if it
means holding a victim’s hand while she's being examined because of rape or standing
between a Woman holding her Child and a man blind with rage, this is what we’ll do.
The Goddess has let us know that this is Her purpose for us and we will not let Her, or
any Sister down. It's time for Women to reclaim what is rightfully theirs: their bodies,
their souls, their dignity and integrity. Above all, their right to Be.
Goddess Moon Circles clergy offer their counseling services in their capacity as
ordained clergy, only. Except as noted, no Goddess Moon Circles clergy are
State-licensed counselors.
Because of this, we will prescribe no
medication, herbal or otherwise or attempt to make a diagnosis. We are
here to listen.
