We've all
been there.
We find
ourselves interested in someone, and a fledgling relationship
sparks. Perhaps a lunch or two, even a movie -- and then
something comes along and splashes water on the fire.
The person
found out we were Pagan, and decided that was too insurmountable an
obstacle to continue seeing you. It doesn't matter that you
have so very much in common, it's just that you don't follow the
same religious path. It doesn't matter that you like pina
coladas, walks in the rain, the feel of the ocean...you get the
idea.
Yes, some
mixed religion relationships work. In my experience, however,
I have not found many that do. I would love to hear from those
who have mixed religion relationships, and what they have done to
make them work.
Please
send your articles and experiences
here. Serious and humorous material is welcome.
Providing they aren't in need of serious editing, I'll be happy to
include them here. |
Some
Tips For Dating NonPagans
1.
Don't start the conversation with "You know, at our last Esbat
ritual..."
2.
Dragging out a book bag with examples of your favorite Pagan authors
might not be a very good thing to do on a first date.
3.
Chatting about favorite pets is fine. Talking about favorite
kinds of familiars might not be the best idea.
4.
Don't agree to a second date with the phrase "So mote it be."
5.
Whether you are dating a Pagan or a NonPagan, never ever ever
discuss politics with someone with whom you want to explore a
relationship. |
