Why Goddess Moon Circles Exists

Goddess Moon Circles began as an online resource for Pagans looking for wedding and handfasting services in June of 1999.  While there are apparently lots of Pagan clergy out there, very few actually list themselves and their services, so Pagans find themselves looking for what should be readily available.

From there, we began to offer midwife and Doula listings.  Many Pagans seem to be embracing pregnancy and childbirth without medical intervention, so that seemed to be a good resource to offer, and that resource has blossomed with dozens of listings from many states and even from abroad.  We continue to add listings to our midwife and Doula pages.

Then we decided to offer Crisis Intervention and Counseling services.  Because, while there appear to be many resources for members of more mainstream religions to seek pastoral counseling, there appear to be very little opportunities for Pagans to seek the counsel of Pagan clergy.  So this was a service we very much felt was needed in and for the Pagan community.

Our services have grown from there.  At this time, we offer crisis intervention services, clergy counseling, the Goddess Moon Circles Helping & Warming Program, midwife and Doula listings, Officiant services, homeschooling resources, a Pagan private virtual school (Goddess Moon Circles Academy), parenting advice, ideas and activities, and much, much more.  As people ask for services, we add those to what we do already.
